We all knew it was coming but Google finally just launched a stand-alone podcast app, called Google Podcasts for Android.

It is available now and free, so go and download Google Podcasts right now.

Google was/is miles away from the iTunes podcast service and trying to catch up hard. First, they started the podcast section in the Google Music, and now its dedicated app.

What does Google say about the app?

“Google Podcasts is a new way for Android users to discover and listen to the world’s podcasts. You can subscribe to any show for free and download episodes for offline listening. All your listening is automatically synced across devices so you can pause on one device and resume on another with the Google Assistant.
